Stage Map | BG – the new mobile app for musicians and organizers

The Bulgarian Music Association (BMA) is proud to announce that the mobile application „Stage Map | BG“ is now available for download in the two largest online stores – App Store и Google Play and it’s completely free. This is the first application of its kind in Bulgaria, which provides up-to-date information about all established music spaces in the country, including the conditions for their use.

„Stage Map | BG“ was created with the mission to assist musicians and event organizers by facilitating the process of finding suitable concert locations and overall planning. The application aslo features the event calendar, that allows for better coordination between everyone. Users can search and filter venues by various criteria such as concert halls, nightclubs, outdoor stages, location, and more.

In addition to being a useful tool for musicians, organizers and venue owners, “Stage Map | BG” also has a strategic role in the development of the music ecosystem in Bulgaria. It will collect and analyze information that will serve to formulate legislative and socio-economic measures adequate to the needs of the sector. BMA will continue to work on the development of various financing instruments and policies tailored to the specifics of the music sector.

All live music venues in Bulgaria can join the “Stage Map | BG” for free by filling out the specially designed survey here. This allows music clubs, concert halls and festival locations to be more easily discoverable by artists and organizers.

With this initiative, the Bulgarian Music Association seeks to support the development of the music industry and ensure better accessibility to the available infrastructure in the country. “Stage Map | BG“ is a valuable tool for all professionals in the field of music and event management, contributing to the more effective organization and holding of music events. The application also contributes to the development of local scenes, promoting cultural exchange and creating new opportunities for artists and organizers.

The mobile application “Stage Map | BG” was implemented within the framework of the sectoral initiatives of the Bulgarian Music Association, supported by PROFON.

Mobile application

The “Musical Guide to Stage Spaces in Bulgaria” is the result of the two-year project for wide-ranging mapping of the music sector in the country, which the BMA launched in 2020 as part of its sectoral initiatives. The aim of the project is to improve information provision and support the development of effective cultural policies and financing mechanisms.

The application is open to all stage spaces in Bulgaria, offering easy and quick access to an extensive array of data. This enables artists-performers to plan their activities without wasting time on additional research, making the process more efficient and easy.

We believe that this product will be of great benefit not only to the music sector, but also to all other performing arts, helping to facilitate their integration and development in the cultural scene of Bulgaria.

The app will be free for download at the end of January 2025.
