BMA to help its members
02 January 2026

The Bulgarian Music Association has launched a new information initiative to support its members. Within its framework, we will regularly share clear, practical and truly useful information about everything behind music: copyright, repertoire registration, uploading and distributing music on streaming platforms, organizing and promoting concerts, as well as many other topics that we all encounter sooner or later.

Our goal is to help young musicians just starting their careers navigate the reality of today’s music industry more easily, without unnecessary administrative language and confusing terms. We know how often artists are forced to deal with things that no one has prepared them for, so we want to be your partner on the way, from the first song to a sustainable career.

In the prepared materials you will find specific steps, practical examples and working tips for managing your music business, digital distribution, marketing and audience building. With the help of experts from various fields of the music business, we will also shed light on the legal, financial and organizational aspects of the profession, so that you can make more confident decisions for yourself and your music.

As a next step, BMA aims to develop this initiative as an active platform for exchange with thematic meetings, online conversations and sharing of real experiences between artists. We believe that a strong scene is built not only with information, but also with a community.

We would be happy to hear your ideas, what topics excite you, what difficulties you encounter and what support you need. Write to us at members@bgma.bg and let’s build this initiative together so that it really works for you.

Stage Map | BG is the result of the two-year project for wide-ranging mapping of the music sector in the country, which the BMA launched in 2020 as part of its sectoral initiatives. The aim of the project is to improve information provision and support the development of effective cultural policies and financing mechanisms.

The application is open to all stage spaces in Bulgaria, offering easy and quick access to an extensive array of data. This enables artists-performers to plan their activities without wasting time on additional research, making the process more efficient and easy.

We believe that this product will be of great benefit not only to the music sector, but also to all other performing arts, helping to facilitate their integration and development in the cultural scene of Bulgaria.
