The Bulgarian Music Association noted a strong presence at one of the leading European events for music professionals – MOST WANTED: MUSIC (MW:M) 2025, which took place from November 11 to 13 at the iconic Kulturbrauerei complex in Berlin. The forum, organized by the Berlin Music Commission, is among the most dynamic platforms for innovation, knowledge exchange and development of international partnerships in the music and creative industries.
Within the framework of the event, the Bulgarian Music Association once again presented the country as an active and reliable partner in the European music ecosystem. One of the key activities was the MW:M Live Opening Reception – the official opening event of the showcase program, organized jointly by MW:M and partners from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg. A special guest at the reception was the Bulgarian Ambassador in Germany, Mr. Grigor Porozhanov, who greeted the participants and emphasized the importance of international platforms for expanding cultural cooperation. His presence was a strong sign of institutional support for the efforts for international positioning of the Bulgarian music scene.
The event also drew attention to Bulgarian artists in the official showcase program. HAYES & Y and Pistamashina presented their projects to a select international audience of booking agents, festival selectors, managers, producers and media. Both concerts generated strong interest and opened up new opportunities for future participation and partnerships.
MOST WANTED: MUSIC is one of the most significant European platforms related to the future of the music industry, technologies, sustainable models and new business approaches. With its combination of conferences, workshops, networking formats and an extremely selective showcase program, MW:M provides valuable contacts and real tools for the development of artists and professionals.
The participation of the Bulgarian Music Association is part of the strategic project “Export and sustainable positioning of the Bulgarian music scene on the international market”, implemented and funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU instrument.
The presence of MW:M 2025 is another confident step towards building a sustainable international presence for Bulgarian music. The Bulgarian Music Association continues to work to open new avenues to European markets and present Bulgarian artists to leading professionals from the global industry.
