Today, September 23, we celebrate the second European Folklore Day! The Day of Folklore Music, Dance and Storytelling.
This wonderful initiative is coordinated by European Folk Network, according to which “Folk music, dance and storytelling carry the voices and stories of people, nations and communities. They preserve the cultures of the past and develop with each generation. Traditional arts are an essential element of European cultural identity and diversity. They are a source of wealth, the scale of which we can only imagine.”
You can find all events and musical works on the interactive map of European folk network.
