We are pleased to announce that the Bulgarian Music Association is now part of EMEE (European Music Export Exchange) – the leading European network that unites 35 national and regional music export offices from 29 countries.

EMEE is a non-profit organization based in Brussels, whose mission is to support European musicians, companies and professionals in their export strategies. Through a combination of public and private funding, the network promotes cultural diversity, international cooperation and the economic development of the music sector.

The network members provide a wide range of services, including financial support for projects and tours, training, business consulting, international networking and events, partnerships with the largest professional forums in the field, which guarantee the participation and presentation of Bulgarian artists. These activities aim to help music professionals and artists realize their potential on the global stage.

Through its membership in EMEE, BMA will provide Bulgarian music professionals and artists with access to expertise and strategic advice on music export, international contacts, important research and opportunities to participate in significant projects.

BMA will work to enhance the visibility and mobility of Bulgarian music, both in Europe and beyond. By exchanging information, experience and good practices, we will create new opportunities for Bulgarian artists and music companies to expand their influence on the international stage.

With this partnership, we believe that we will contribute to the establishment of Bulgaria as an active and significant participant in the global music industry. Stay tuned for more news and new opportunities that our partnership with EEME will bring for Bulgarian artists!

The “Musical Guide to Stage Spaces in Bulgaria” is the result of the two-year project for wide-ranging mapping of the music sector in the country, which the BMA launched in 2020 as part of its sectoral initiatives. The aim of the project is to improve information provision and support the development of effective cultural policies and financing mechanisms.

The application is open to all stage spaces in Bulgaria, offering easy and quick access to an extensive array of data. This enables artists-performers to plan their activities without wasting time on additional research, making the process more efficient and easy.

We believe that this product will be of great benefit not only to the music sector, but also to all other performing arts, helping to facilitate their integration and development in the cultural scene of Bulgaria.

The app will be free for download at the end of January 2025.
